Formerly Dr Itunu Johnson-Sogbetun
General Practitioner
British Menopause Society Registered Menopause Specialist
15 years’ clinical experience

Dr Itunu Johnson is a General Practitioner with 15 years’ clinical experience, dedicated to careful, considered and deeply personal medical care. She studied Medicine at University College London, where she also completed an intercalated BSc in Medical Sciences with Human Genetics, an early reflection of her interest in the science that underpins each individual’s health.
Following Foundation Training, she undertook Core Medical Training, gaining broad experience across a range of medical specialties before becoming a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). This grounding in Internal Medicine remains central to how she practises today. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, she considers the whole person: physical health, hormonal health, psychological wellbeing, lifestyle, family history and the wider circumstances of a patient’s life.
She went on to complete specialist training in General Practice, achieving membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP), and holds further diplomas from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG). Having completed advanced menopause training, she is a British Menopause Society Registered Menopause Specialist.
The result is a calm, considered style of medicine in which patients feel genuinely heard. Dr Itunu takes the time to understand not only what is troubling a patient, but the fuller picture of their health and their goals, so that every plan of care is tailored to the individual.
Dr Itunu has a particular expertise and professional interest in ethnic variations in women’s health and in the experiences and health outcomes of Black women. This informs her commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive healthcare for women from all backgrounds.
Alongside her specialist women’s health work, Dr Itunu provides comprehensive Private GP care for women, men and children.
