Our commitment

Dr Itunu Johnson is committed to providing the highest standard of care. If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service you have received, we want to hear from you so that we can address your concerns and work to improve.

UK complaints

Step 1: Contact us directly

In the first instance, please raise your concern with us directly. Many issues can be resolved quickly and informally when brought to our attention early.

Email: [email protected]

Please include your name, the approximate date of the care or interaction you are concerned about, and a description of your concern. We aim to acknowledge complaints within three working days and to provide a full response within 20 working days. If we need longer to investigate, we will let you know.

Step 2: Care delivered at The Wellington Hospital (HCA Healthcare UK)

If your complaint relates to care delivered at The Wellington Hospital or through HCA Healthcare UK facilities, you may also raise your concern through HCA Healthcare UK's own complaints process. Details are available from the hospital's patient services team or on the HCA Healthcare UK website.

Step 3: Independent escalation

If you have followed the internal complaints process and remain dissatisfied, independent escalation may be available through the relevant independent sector complaints adjudication process. For care delivered through HCA Healthcare UK, this may include the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service (ISCAS), where applicable.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates healthcare services in England but does not investigate or resolve individual complaints. However, you can share your experience with the CQC, as feedback helps inform their regulatory oversight. Visit cqc.org.uk.

International patients receiving UK clinical care

If you are an international patient who received clinical care in the UK, the UK complaints pathway described above applies to your care.

Lagos complaints

If your complaint relates to care received at the Lagos practice, please contact:

Email: [email protected]
Phone / WhatsApp: +234 702 586 3003

We aim to acknowledge your concern promptly and investigate thoroughly. If you remain dissatisfied after we have responded, you may escalate the matter to the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

Data protection complaints

If your concern relates specifically to how your personal data has been handled, please refer to our Privacy Policy, which includes details of the relevant data protection regulators.
